My mother’s side of the family resides in Italy and I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to visit and immerse myself in their culture. Before the pandemic, I lived with my uncle for a summer in Southern Rome. Since that first visit, my fashion style has been heavily influenced by my experiences and travels. I am inspired by the Renaissance Era and the church ceiling artwork like the above pictures. These inspirations brought me to make the embroidery on the left picture above and many trendy corsets that can be viewed on my gallery page.
I live in the Lower East Side of New York City and am seeking to further my career. Previously, I contributed to H&M in Albany, New York, where I excelled as a visual merchandising key-holder. Recently, I transitioned to a prominent top 10 H&M store in the same role. Now, I'm eager to expand my expertise and progress beyond the confines of my current job title.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website, and I look forward to sharing my journey with you! Feel Free to contact me via Email or LinkedIn with any questions or constructive criticism.

ABOUT Marissa
I learned how to sew when I was six years old from my grandmother and ever since I stitched that first pillow with her I have been intrigued by the construction of textile goods. Fashion has been a constant passion in my life and I cannot name anything that I am more dedicated to. I have always been fascinated by the power of fashion to inspire and transform, and I am constantly exploring new avenues of creativity and innovation. From styling to design, merchandising to business, textiles to supply chain, I find myself drawn to so many different aspects of the fashion world.
What I love most about this field is how all these different areas intersect and influence one another throughout the entire world. Fashion is included in every ounce of our lives from various cultures, to freedom of expression, to climate, to the environment(I could go on forever). My own personal interest in styling, for example, is informed by my understanding of design and textiles, while my knowledge of supply chain has given me a deeper appreciation for the complexities of merchandising. As I continue to explore and learn within the fashion industry, I am driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact through my work. Whether it's creating inspiring designs, building sustainable supply chains and textiles, or helping brands tell their stories in new and exciting ways, I am committed to using my skills and talents to make a positive difference on the fashion industry.
